What are the copyright rules for making copies?
During the fall and spring semesters the library is open Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. -- 9:00 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m. and Sunday 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., (except on holiday weekends). During the summer the library is open from 7:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Friday 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
The Library is the two-story building in the center of the campus.

A current Panola College student I.D. serves as your library card. Local patrons may also purchase a library card for $10.00 by inquiring at the checkout desk. Replacement cards are $10.00.
The checkout period for books is two weeks and one week for circulating movies. We do not allow check outs between semesters.
How many library items may I check out at one time?
Panola Students may check out four (4) books and two (2) movies.
Local Patrons may check out two (2) books and two (2) movies.
Books — 25˘ per day
Reference & Reserve— $1.50 per day or hour
Movies & Audios—$1.00 per day
How do I access the electronic library catalog?
Seven electronic terminals are available in the library and
remote access is available through the library web page.

Library orientations are offered at the beginning of each semester. If you are unable to attend any of the sessions please see a librarian.
Free access e-books are available to authorized M. P. Baker Library patrons. Establishing an account from the library is required for authentication.
Yes, any student with a current Panola I. D. or local patron (15 years or older) with a library card may use the computers. Computer competence is necessary.
Yes, just go to the library website: http://www.panola.edu/library.htm Access the Electronic Research Databases. You will be asked for your student ID to gain access. Please contact the circulation desk or e-mail a librarian if help is needed.
One copier is available for public use. Copies cost $.10 per page. A copy card can be purchased from a dispenser beside each copy machine for $1.00.
What are the copyright rules for making copies?
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17 U. S. Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. The person using the equipment is liable for any infringement.
