MESQUITE -
Brandon Powell and Panola had Eastfield hobbled and nearly hogtied going into the bottom of the fifth, but the Harvesters worked loose a few knots and were coming back when Don Clinton summoned the fireman, Kory Cleveland, to turn things around.

In the final four and two-thirds innings, Cleveland (2-0) allowed just two hits and slammed the door on scoring as Panola improved to 13-11 for the season.

Victor Clique had here singles and a double in five at bats, Tyler Alston was three for five and scored three times and Miguel Alicea went two for four for the Ponies.

Jared Wondra, Taylor Davis, Edwin Encamacion and Rickey Gardner each added a hit to the coffers.
Panola entertains Cedar Valley Monday and opens conference with Northeast in a doubleheader in Carthage Wednesday.
