HOLLAND TO SPEAK AT LUNCHBOX LECTURE
Mr. Terry Holland will be the featured speaker during the M.P. Baker Library’s January Lunchbox Lecture. The event will be held January 25, 2005 at noon in the M.P. Baker Library at Panola College’s Carthage campus and is open to the community.
Mr. Holland, a native of Panola County, is a twenty year veteran of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. As part of the focus on Panola College’s new rodeo program, Mr. Holland will share his personal experiences and insights from his chosen profession.
Mr. Holland is well respected in the rodeo community. His extensive knowledge and rodeo background have given him the opportunity to appear on CBS’s 48-hours and most recently, to provide commentary on one of the Outdoor Channel’s newest shows, Championship Bull Riding.
Mr. Holland is also an inspirational Christian speaker. He has spoken before local groups and has also appeared on the popular Christian Broadcasting Network show, The 700 Club.
“Mr. Holland is a wonderful example for our students, and we are pleased that he has agreed to speak at this event,” said Mrs. Zeny Jett, Director of Library Services. “I hope everyone in the community will make plans to attend our January Lunchbox Lecture. It will be an enjoyable and informative occasion.”
