VIEWS FROM SPACE
There is only one federal
program that, at its best, reaches for the grandeur and the wonder that in ages
past built the great cathedrals and launched wooden ships into unknown waters
where dragons lurked.
President Bush said "This cause of exploration and discovery is not an
option we choose; it is a desire written in the human heart. We are that part of
creation which seeks to understand all creation. We find the best among us, send
them forth into unmapped darkness, and pray they will return."
In VIEWS FROM SPACE, we will observe the views from space of the Earth, and the moon and beyond. Mr. Kitmacher has assembled the best photography from space flight, and shows how it has been used to better understand our universe, our world, and life on earth.
We will travel in space with our astronauts, and look at the achievements, the costs, and the future.
This event has been made possible by the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Foster Murphy who established the B.F. and Mary Payne Fund for the Preservation of Texas Culture.
