Garrett Completes Degree in 3 Program

Recently Robbie Garrett, a single parent with a full-time job, completed her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Information Systems utilizing Panola College’s Degree in 3 program.

“She took traditional as well as internet classes,” said Dr. Denise Duzan-Wilkins, Computer Science Professor. “Robbie was a dedicated and enthusiastic learner. I very much enjoyed having her in my classes.”

“Robbie is a very self-motivated learner and especially persistent in reaching her goals,” said Dr. Bob Wilkins, Computer Science Professor. “Not only did she earn her degree, she also completed all the requirements necessary for a Microcomputer Support Specialist Certificate and a Microcomputer Software Operator Certificate.”

Panola College’s Degree in 3 program consists of a rotating sequence of evening and Internet courses offered over a three-year period. Students taking six hours each semester are able to graduate with an Associate of Science degree in as little as three years. This is a great option for those who work and can't attend courses during the day.
