Panola College Home Page Guidelines
for Student Organizations
Any registered student organization at Panola College may be included in the college's web site under Student Organizations in order to provide vital information about their organization. In order to do so, the organization representative must complete the Student Organization Home Page Request Form. The student organization president, the organization's faculty advisor, and the coordinator of Student Activities must sign the request before it is submitted to the Webmaster for approval.
Suggestions for information to be included on a student organization home page are:
1. Name of organization
2. Type of organization (service, honorary, etc.)
3. Purpose statement (very brief)
4. Criteria for membership
5. Cost of membership
6. Advisor's name and other pertinent information about him/her
7. President's name and other pertinent information about him/her
8. Regular meeting times and place
9. Calendar of events and/or activities
10. *Date of the last revision
11. *The name and email link of the person responsible for maintaining the page
12. *Link to the Panola College Home Page

In order to acquire a student organization home page, the organization leader should:
1. Get permission from the organization's advisor to create a home page.
2. Print out the form: "Request for a Student Organization Home Page."
3. Complete the form and sign it.
4. Take the form to the organization's advisor for his/her signature signifying approval.
5. Take the form to the coordinator of Student Activities for his/her signature signifying approval.
6. The coordinator of Student Activities will take the form, a printout of the organization's home page, and an electronic copy (if necessary) to the Webmaster for approval and publication.
Web pages of registered campus organizations are considered official Panola College pages and must conform to the Panola College Policy on Electronic Publications.
