Unofficial Ranking List for January 2009 Applicants –

October 2008 Application Deadline 

1. FLEX students will be sent a letter regarding their status.
2. Regular (not FLEX) applicants are identified below by their ID number assigned at the mentoring session (number is on worksheet and application). 
3. Applicants will have until November 7, 2008 to describe in writing any discrepancies in total ranking points.
4. Acceptance letters will be sent out to the top 30 by November 14, 2008.  All applicants must reply to the acceptance letters by November 25, 2008 by calling the department at 903.694.4019 or they will be removed from the rank list.  Applicants who do NOT respond to letters of acceptance or applicants whose letters are postmarked “Returned to Sender” will be removed from the applicant pool and may result in the loss of admission for a minimum of one (1) review period.
5. Positions will be offered until class limit is met.
6. Orientation will be December 8-9, 2008.  Classes begin on January 20, 2009.   
7. The following formula was used to calculate the rank number:

Rank = (prerequisite GPA) X (Number of Prerequisite courses successfully completed) + (number of degree plan courses completed) + (points awarded for HESI A2) + (bonus points for all pre-reqs taken at Panola College [4]). 

PLEASE NOTE:  Keep your contact information current with the ADN office AND Panola College Admission/Records Office.

LEGEND: 

• Rank Order: The order that the rank score places you on the list for admittance

• RANK – Total ranking points scored by the applicant

• 4-DIGIT# - Number assigned to applicant during the mentoring session (see worksheet).

NOTE:  Not all criminal backgrounds have been returned.  This rank order is provisional until all backgrounds are checked.  Students with a positive check will not be offered admission without a Declaratory Order from the Board of Nursing for Texas.
