I want to become an LVN.

The LVN Program offers two campus locations:

  • the Carthage program beginning in June (third Monday in March deadline)
  • the Center program beginning in January (October 15th deadline)

You must apply and complete requirements 1, 2, and 3 by the appropriate deadline.

The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) and BIOL 2404 must be taken prior entering the Vocational Nursing Program.  You may have them "in progress" on the application deadline.
  1. Take the Elsevier REACH HESI A2 entrance exam (a book is available at the bookstore for study). Call Student Services at (903) 693-2036 to make an appointment. Pay $50 at the Business office and take receipt to test. Take photo ID to test; pencil only allowed at testing station
  2. If you make the minimum required 80 on Reading Comprehension and 75 on Math and Grammar sections of the HESI A2, come by the LVN Department to receive an application.
  3. When you receive an application, you will need to complete required items by the DEADLINE! (Instructions will be included with the application.)
