RN Refresher Course

Available to residents of the Panola College service area only Panola County, Shelby County, Harrison County, and Marion County (due to limited clinical sites)

COURSE DESCRIPTION:  This course is designed to enable a registered nurse or a vocational nurse to refresh skills needed to re-enter the nursing workforce after a period of absence.  The course is also designed to meet the requirements of the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) for a nurse who has let his/her license lapse.  It is the student’s responsibility to complete any paperwork required by the BON and to gain additional skills other than those outlined in the syllabus.

The didactic portion of the refresher course is offered through the Virtual College of Texas.  You must register for the course through Panola College's Continuing Education after getting permission from the Dean of Nursing to take the course.  For more information on the course go to: http://nurserefresher.austincc.edu/
