Odisho Makes It Four

Oditte Odisho, a sophomore point guard for the Panola Fillies basketball team, has committed to Duquense University in Pittsburgh, PA. With her commitment, the sophomore class is a perfect 4 for 4, with all four student athletes moving on to four-year universities to continue their basketball careers. Odisho was a Region 14  All-Conference selection this season after transferring from Daytona Beach Community College in Florida. "Oditee did an exceptional job for us this season and we are excited to see her moving on to play at the next level," commented head coach Tracey Stellato. Duquense University is an NCAA Division I university, located in Pittsburgh, PA and completes in the Atlantic 10.

Two Fillies Recognized by Region 14

Sophomores Oditte Odisho and Chastity Taylor were recognized by the Region 14 coaches for their on-court contributions this season, by being named to the Region 14 All-Conference squad. Odisho, a sophomore transfer from London, Ontario, led the Fillies in scoring and assists per game this season. "OD was a tremendous addition to our program this year. Her maturity and leadership were a big part of our 7 game improvement this season," noted head coach Tracey Stellato.

Chastity Taylor, another sophomore transfer, the Fillies' second leading scorer this season, was named Honorable Mention All-Conference. "Chastity is by far one of the most competitive athletes I have ever coached and she's also one of the hardest working players to ever come through our program. I think Bethune Cookeman University is lucky to have her and we expect nothing but great things from her as she leaves our program," added Stellato. Taylor is a pre-med major that was also voted to the Region 14 academic all-conference squad
