luminant at Panola College

Luminant Power Track was on the Panola College campus on November 20, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the M.P. Baker Library Murphy-Payne Room.  They discussed a career development program that provides an inside track to a career in the power industry for a select group of students. Those who are accepted into and successfully complete the program will receive a two-year associate degree in one of the following career paths: electrical technology, instrumentation and control, mechanical technology or power plant technology; a paid internship at a Luminant power plant or mine in Texas; and a career “test-drive” that could grow into a full-time position with Luminant upon graduation. To apply for the Luminant Power Track program you must have: a high school diploma (or equivalent) and official school transcript, a minimum high school GPA of 2.7, successfully passed the Power Track aptitude test.  POSS/MASS testing is required. Please contact your high school counselor to schedule a POSS/MASS testing date for this fall. If you have any questions contact Tommy Neyland at
