Though Panola College has been educating since
1947, it lacked one vital element in its curriculum, an annual literary and art
magazine. In 1996 instructors Ann Boland and Mary Nell King had a vision of just
that, which in turn created what we now know as the Intaglio. The Intaglio which
allows students to display their creative efforts in print, has come a long way
in just five short years. Originally, the Intaglio was in print only but, with
the help of student John Hughes and the Internet, it was posted online for the
whole world to see. We hope to continue this tradition of expanding our audience
now, and into the future.
If you wish to help with the
Intaglio, and you are a student at Panola College, please join us at our
meetings which are posted on the calendar page. If you wish to submit your work
for publishing in the Intaglio, you may email it to us, or bring it by the
Intaglio office in the Raymond Rhea Fine Arts Building. We hope you enjoy the
art of the Panola College Students and that you are inspired by the writings as
well. If you you have any questions about the Intaglio or you would like to buy
a past copy, please email us.
